Terms of Service

Holistic Healing by Ali
Effective Date: 27 June 2025

 

1. Overview

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by Holistic Healing by Ali, owned and operated by Alison Steedman, a UK-accredited trauma-informed somatic therapist and member of the ACCPH. By booking or attending a session, you agree to these Terms in full.

 

2. Services Offered

We provide:

  • Online therapy sessions incorporating somatic techniques, parts work, bilateral processing, and talking therapy

  • Online yoga and movement sessions (optional, not a substitute for medical advice)

  • Resources and wellness guidance via secure online platforms

All services are available to adults aged 18+ only.

 

3. Booking & Payment

  • Sessions can be booked via our website (Wix) or by contacting alison@holistichealingbyali.com

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged

  • Session fees will be clearly displayed and may be updated from time to time

  • Subscriptions or multi-session packages (if offered) are subject to their own cancellation policies

 

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Minimum 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable

  • If you miss your appointment without notice, the session will be forfeited and not refunded

 

5. Confidentiality & Records

  • All sessions are confidential and your privacy is respected at all times

  • Session notes and client records are stored securely in Google Workspace and retained for 6 years, as required by law and professional guidelines

  • Online sessions (via Microsoft Teams or Google Meet) are not recorded, unless with your explicit written consent

  • You may request access to your records by emailing alison@holistichealingbyali.com

 

6. Therapeutic Relationship

  • Therapy is a collaborative, professional relationship

  • We do not diagnose or prescribe medical treatment — services are complementary and not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care

  • You agree to take responsibility for your own wellbeing and to inform your therapist of any risks, concerns, or changes in your mental or physical health

 

7. Client Conduct

  • You agree to attend sessions in a safe, private space where you will not be interrupted

  • You will not record sessions unless mutually agreed in writing

  • Inappropriate, abusive, or harmful behaviour will result in immediate termination of services without refund

 

8. Yoga Disclaimer

If participating in online yoga or somatic movement classes, you agree that:

  • You are medically fit to participate

  • You will listen to your body and stop if something feels unsafe

  • You take full responsibility for any injury or outcome

Holistic Healing by Ali is not liable for injuries sustained during movement-based sessions.

 

9. Technology and Access

  • You are responsible for ensuring a reliable internet connection for online sessions

  • We are not liable for technical disruptions beyond our control (e.g., power outages, platform failures)

  • In the event of a tech issue, your session may be rescheduled

 

10. Privacy and Data Protection

We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, store, and protect your information in compliance with UK GDPR and relevant laws.

 

11. Intellectual Property

All written content, resources, handouts, and session materials remain the intellectual property of Holistic Healing by Ali and may not be reproduced or distributed without written consent.

 

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services implies agreement with the current Terms.
