Welcome to Holistic Healing by Ali

Hey 👋 I'm Alison, a trauma informed somatic counsellor and tantric hatha yoga teacher! I created Holistic Healing by Ali, which is the beginnings of a greater vision I have to help you find deep rest and healing. I am beginning this journey by offering Somatic Therapy and Personalised Yoga to guide you back to who you are. Complete integration mind, body and soul is the goal, so you can be everything you want to be in this life.


This blog will be a way for me to keep you updated on my journey as I guide you along yours! There will be posts about what is going on for Holistic Healing by Ali, updates on me, and posts sharing tools and techniques that will support you on your journey. What is Holistic Healing by Ali?


It is my small online business where I hope to guide you back to yourself. Lot's of us feel held back in some way, or like we have lost ourselves. We go through so much in life that we become changed, and some of those changes we no longer want or need. I offer therapy/counselling to work through those things that have become stuck by integrating body and mind. I also offer personalised yoga as a tool for regulating the nervous system and reconnecting to the core of who you are, the soul.


How is my offering different?

I believe working holistically is the most complete way to heal and reconnect to self. Everything is interconnected, the body and mind are not separate, yet we treat them separately when it comes to healing. I want to work with your body and mind to release trauma, stuck emotions, and obstacles that are holding you back. This is why yoga is a part of what I offer, it is a practice of reconnecting the mind, body and soul. I believe the only way for us to truly heal and become the best version of ourselves is to work with it all.


What do I offer?

My main offering is Trauma Informed Somatic Therapy. This is similar to most counselling/therapy processes, but it brings in the key missing ingredient, the body. We store trauma in the body and nervous system, yet we rarely go into the body to release this. My sessions are a blend of talking therapies, somatic therapies, and processing techniques that allow us to work things through in both the body and the mind.


The nervous system plays a big role in how we react to and experience the world, so this is a huge element in what I do. In sessions I will guide you through nervous system regulation tools and techniques, but I also offer the personalised yoga sessions as a way to go deeper with that. Tailoring the practice specifically to your nervous system and your goals.
